Dear Teagen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand how frustrating and disappointing this experience must have been for you and Jack, and I want to provide clarity on the situation from my perspective. When your applications were approved, we sent an email outlining the next steps and the importance of confirming your commitment to move forward with the lease. I followed up with text messages and another email the following morning when I hadn’t received a response. While I understand that you were working through your current lease situation, timely communication was critical since the property was in high demand and additional showings had already been scheduled for the morning. I finally received a response from your roommate stating that you were still interested but needed more time to finalize your current lease situation and would not be able to sign the lease until later that day. Unfortunately, during this time, another application was submitted. By law, I was required to present it to the landlord, who ultimately chose to move forward with the second applicants. These applicants promptly responded to congratulatory email, completed the necessary payments, and signed the lease all in the same day. I quickly informed your roommate of the landlord’s decision and explained that had I received a response to my initial email or follow-ups the day before, I could have potentially canceled the showings already scheduled for the next morning and avoided the situation altogether. I strive to provide a fair and transparent process for all applicants while acting in accordance with the law and the landlord’s requirements and best interests. I regret that this situation led to disappointment, as my goal is to assist every applicant with professionalism and integrity.
